The price of each Original work of art depends upon a number of factors:

bulletThe amount of research needed to produce the artwork…
bulletThe time required to complete the artwork…
bulletThe size and medium are also major factors…
bulletThe complexity of the subject matter…
bullet…I could go on.

Can I give you some idea of the cost?  Only in general.  Each painting, sketch, or print has a different
price.  Oil paintings of a ship or other complex marine subject usually vary  from about $3,500 to many thousands of dollars.  Watercolors are usually less.  Pencil sketches may start at about $500, depending on how finished they are.    I add minimal packing and shipping charges to the price of the artwork.  What will the cost be for a specific work of art?   If you wish a price for artwork on my website, I ask you to
send an   and specify the work.   If you wish to discuss a commission of a specific subject, let me know just what you have in mind---the ship or other subject, the medium, and the approximate size.  I will give you a firm price for that particular commission.   I generally require a deposit for commissions, usually a percentage of the final price.
